One night. One hundred players. One deck of cards that has ruined more friendships than Monopoly. We're hosting the city's first proper UNO tournament — and we'd love to have you at the table.
A real tournament for a game everyone secretly takes too seriously
If you've ever shouted "UNO!" at the top of your lungs in someone's living room and then gloated for the next forty minutes — this is for you. We took the game we all grew up arguing about and turned it into a proper bracket, with rules everyone agrees on (or at least pretends to).
Players, no more
We capped the field at one hundred. Twenty-five tables of four, then bracket play. No spectator-only mode this year — if you sign up, you play.
Zero entry fee
Free to register, free to play. We're covering the venue and the cards. You bring yourself, your nerve, and maybe a friend to commiserate with after round one.
One evening, start to finish
Doors open at 17:00, first hand dealt at 18:00, champion crowned around 23:00. We'll feed you snacks. The bar handles the rest.
Stuff you actually want
The winner walks away with a trophy that's slightly tackier than it should be, plus prize packs from our local sponsors. Everyone gets a pin.
How a Falsonal tournament actually runs
Here's the quick version. We start with a Swiss-style group stage — that means everyone plays multiple rounds, and you're not knocked out after one bad hand. Each round is a single game of UNO at a four-person table. Win a round, score points. Lose, you keep playing.
After four group rounds, the top sixteen players advance to the knockout bracket. From there it's standard elimination: best two of three, single table, until two players remain. Then it's a final showdown — best of three, with the whole café cheering. We've seen better-than-expected drama at our test runs, honestly.

Pre-register for the tournament
Fill in the form, click submit, get a confirmation email within a few minutes. That's it. We don't share your details, we don't spam, and the only follow-up you'll get is a reminder two days before the event.
Quick answers
Do I need to bring my own deck of UNO cards?
Nope. We supply fresh decks at every table — Mattel originals, no house variants. Just bring yourself.
Can I show up without registering?
Honestly, please don't. We've capped attendance at one hundred and we plan tables and snacks based on confirmed sign-ups. Walk-ins on the day will only get a seat if there's a no-show, and there usually aren't many.
Is there an age limit?
You need to be 18 or older — the venue is a licensed bar in the evening. Under-18s can't be seated, sorry.
Are house rules allowed? Stacking, jumping in, all that?
For the tournament, no. We use the official Mattel ruleset only. We get it — your group probably plays with seven house rules — but for fairness everyone needs to play the same game. Full breakdown on the rules page.
Can I come watch even if I'm not playing?
The café is small and we want every player to have elbow room, so we ask non-players to skip the group stage. From around 22:00 onwards, things open up — feel free to drop in for the final and the trophy ceremony.
